First Fantasy Draft in the Books

The first draft of the season is officially over, and as the only member of HireMillen in the draft, I came out on top.

This is the first round of the draft, as the 5th person in an 8 player draft, I was sitting in a pretty comfortable spot. Being there gives you extreme flexibility when planning future picks.

Adrian Peterson went first pick, which is a very safe bet. There are rumblings of people putting MJD or Turner in first, but why risk taking them when you can get a guaranteed stud with your first pick?

When it came to me, I had a tough choice - I have Forte higher than Tomlinson on my draft sheet, but I have a personal affinity for #21 in powder blue, so I went with LT, who I'm expecting to have an incredible year.

The rest of the draft worked out well even though my mid-late draft set ups were foiled by a friend two picks in front of me. I was able to pick up a couple of high ceiling WR in Williams and Edwards, an elite TE and Tom Brady. Don't worry if he knee buckles in preseason because I'm backed up by Cutler.

At some points I was unsure whether the rest of the draft knew how to play (Addai last pick?) and I got to take advantage of it. Here are the rest of the results, let me know how my Culpepperless team is.

Fantasy Football Season Around the Corner

We're only a few short months away from a brand-new fantasy football season.

The league is filled with new talent and old standby's (ahem...Brett Favre) but the game is still the same. Hire Millen is going to present a draft special featuring pick-by-pick review by myself and the Norfolk Neptunes.

We'll discuss the positives and negatives of each players draft in our 10-man Yahoo! league.

Stay tuned as the season nears and players shift on your draft sheets!
